Check a vet quote
Been given a price for treatment? See how it compares with what other practices charge, across the UK and near you, from 939 price lists practices publish themselves.

Your result appears here
We'll show how your quote compares with up to hundreds of published prices, and the cheapest practices near you.
Before you agree to treatment
Ask what's included
Anaesthetic, pain relief, tests, medicines to take home and check-ups afterwards can all be extra.
Get it in writing
Ask for a written estimate. Large groups must give one for treatment likely to cost £500 or more from 23 June 2027, and everyone else from 23 September 2027.
Ask for an itemised bill
Afterwards, ask for a bill that shows what each part cost, so you can check it against the estimate.
Buy medicines elsewhere
Ask for a written prescription: medicines are often cheaper online. Work out the saving.
Get a second price
For planned treatment, ask another practice. Find practices near you.

How this works
We compare your quote with the prices practices publish on their own websites, for a typical case. A price list shared by several branches counts once. Where we have at least three price lists in your council area, we compare locally too.
A quote above most published prices isn't necessarily wrong: your pet may need more than a typical case. Use the result as a reason to ask questions, not as proof. How we read prices.
If something has gone wrong, here is how to complain.
