Figures you can quote
From our directory of UK vet practices, as of 16 October 2026:
- At least 51% of the 5,355 UK vet practices in our directory belong to one of six large groups.
- IVC Evidensia has the most practices we can link to a group: 832.
- 630 practices describe themselves as independent on their own website.
- 1,306 practices (24%) had a link to a prices page on their home page when we checked, before the new price list rules began.
The method, limits and full tables are in Who owns the UK's vets? Group figures are minimums: we only count a practice when we can show the evidence.
How to credit us
Please credit “Local Vet Prices” and, online, link to the page you used. For example: “according to analysis by Local Vet Prices (localvetprices.co.uk)”.
Data you can download
- Vet practice ownership by council area (CSV), free to use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
- Every council area also has its own page, such as Vets in Leeds, with the practices behind the figures.
Coming next
The largest vet groups must publish standard price lists from 23 December 2026, and every other practice from 23 March 2027. We will check every practice after each date and publish how many have done so, followed by what the prices show. Email us to receive these first, under embargo if you prefer.
